To mark Media Workers' Day, a joint off-site meeting of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Academy of Journalism of Kazakhstan was held. This landmark event served as an important dialogue platform that clearly defined the intersections of modern science and media.

The program for media representatives began with a special campus tour showcasing the university’s scientific and innovative potential. Journalists were introduced to the Kazakhstan-China Laboratory of Remote Sensing Technologies and Their Application, the Farabi Supercomputer Center, the Brain Institute, the Farabi Hub Center for Innovative Products and High-Tech Projects, and the Farabi Robotics Center.
The off-site meeting was opened by the Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, who congratulated the media workers on their professional holiday. The university head emphasized the importance of high-quality professional training in an era of fierce competition within the modern media landscape and noted the university's historic mission in the field of journalism.
"Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has always been and remains the golden cradle and a forge of personnel for domestic journalism education. For us, training journalists is not just about issuing diplomas, but about forming a responsible personality who prioritizes national interests and remains true to their word and deeds," noted Zhanseit Tuimebayev.
In turn, the President of the Academy of Journalism of Kazakhstan, Sagymbay Kozybayev, congratulated his colleagues and emphasized the special mission of the press in building a fair Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, an award ceremony took place: the best professionals in the industry who have made a significant contribution to the development of national journalism were presented with awards and letters of appreciation.
