Deepening Cooperation Between Kazakhstan and China in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)
On September 29, a conference dedicated to the establishment of the Sino-Kazakh Alliance for the Innovative Development of Vocational Education, as well as a forum on the development of industry-education integration between the two countries, took place at Changping Vocational School, located in the suburbs of Beijing.

Spring of this year saw the signing of a memorandum on the establishment of the Alliance at the Temirtau Higher Polytechnic College. The college itself and the Beijing Changping Vocational School initiated its establishment. Another 16 colleges of the Republic of Kazakhstan joined the organization.
The creation of the Alliance is designed to strengthen Kazakhstan's role as a center of engineering and technical competencies and innovations in the TVET system of Central Asia. This will contribute to the development of human resources, the expansion of international partnerships, and the implementation of advanced technologies.

he event was aimed at creating a new platform for cooperation in vocational education, promoting deep integration of industry and learning, as well as joint training of highly qualified specialists. More than one hundred representatives of education management bodies, vocational educational institutions, and industry enterprises from Kazakhstan and China attended it.
Both sides expressed a unanimous intention to deepen cooperation in vocational education and jointly train a new generation of personnel.

"Today we face ambitious tasks in training specialists who meet global standards. The creation of this Alliance is an important step towards strengthening ties between our countries, which will allow us to implement best practices, exchange experience, and open new prospects for our youth," noted Dulat Zhekebayev, Head of the Education Department of Karaganda Region.
At the conference, Zheng Yanqiu, Party Committee Secretary of the Changping Vocational School Educational Group, presented the organizational development plan. She proposed pooling the resources of educational institutions and enterprises from both countries, as well as promoting experience sharing and the joint development of educational standards through practical projects.

In turn, Saltanat Akbergenova, Director of the Temirtau Higher Polytechnic College, which acted as one of the co-founders of the Alliance, shared her vision of bilateral partnership:
"For our college and the entire regional TVET system, participation in this project is a unique opportunity to reach a new level. We aim for the transfer of innovative technologies, joint curriculum development, and the organization of practical internships, which will significantly increase the competitiveness of our graduates."
Mi Jing, Head of the China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Center for Vocational and Technical Education Cooperation, stated the readiness to facilitate the effective integration of the Alliance with SCO resources.

At the Forum on the Development of Industry and Education Integration, representatives of educational institutions from China and Kazakhstan shared practical experience in developing specialties and training programs. Representatives of major enterprises, such as Lenovo, BYD, and Huibo Robotics, based on industry needs, discussed specific ways of interaction between educational institutions and business.
Participants unanimously noted that the creation of the Alliance will become a reliable platform for cooperation and will contribute to building even closer friendly and economic ties between Kazakhstan and China.
