The First Campus of Network School to Open in Kazakhstan

The Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the global initiative Network School have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on strategic cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence, innovation, technological entrepreneurship, and human capital development.

Network School brings together entrepreneurs, engineers, researchers, and investors from all around the world. Its founder, Balaji Srinivasan, is one of Silicon Valley’s most prominent tech entrepreneurs, former CTO of Coinbase, and an investor in hundreds of tech companies.

The document was signed by Zhaslan Madiyev, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Balaji Srinivasan, Founder and CEO of Network School.

Commenting on the agreement, Zhaslan Madiyev noted:

"Artificial intelligence thrives where there are strong people, bold ideas, and an environment where they can be realized. We are building exactly this kind of ecosystem in Kazakhstan—open to talent, tech entrepreneurs, and global partnerships. Cooperation with Network School will help strengthen these efforts."

The memorandum outlines key areas of cooperation, including the development of AI educational programs, startup support, joint research projects, international scientific and technological collaboration, and attracting world-leading specialists, entrepreneurs, researchers, and investors to Kazakhstan.

One of the central initiatives will be establishing the first Network School campus in Kazakhstan. It will host world-class educational, research, and entrepreneurial programs, international residency and fellowship initiatives, and will be integrated into Kazakhstan's national AI ecosystem.

The parties also intend to jointly develop startup programs, organize international conferences, hackathons, and forums, as well as work towards hosting the Network State Conference 2026 in Kazakhstan.

Special attention will be given to positioning Kazakhstan as a regional hub for artificial intelligence and innovation, attracting global tech companies, venture capital funds, and strategic investors, while fostering a favorable environment for technological entrepreneurship.

As part of the collaboration, the parties plan to explore ways to improve mechanisms for attracting international talent and tech companies, enhance digital governance, exchange global best practices in AI, and implement joint strategic initiatives.

The memorandum is set for a duration of 5 years. The implementation of these agreements is expected to bolster Kazakhstan’s international position as one of the leading regional hubs for AI development, innovation, and tech entrepreneurship.
