The Games of the Future 2026: Who is representing Kazakhstan?

From July 29 to August 9, Astana will host the international multi-sport tournament «The Games of the Future 2026», which will bring together the best clubs and athletes at the intersection of traditional sports and esports, reports the magazine «Modern Education» with reference to the press service of the Akimat of Astana.

The large-scale tournament will feature over 800 participants from more than 50 countries. Over the course of 12 days, they will compete for a prize pool of $4.75 million across eight disciplines.

Kazakhstan will be represented by 11 teams that passed the national selection. They will face recognized world giants – Team Spirit, T1, Team Falcons, Boca Juniors, Valencia Basket, LGD.Pinghu, and other clubs that have long become legends of world sports and esports.

In the Battle Royale discipline (PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS), the honor of the country will be defended by DIGA Esports, one of the leading Kazakhstani PUBG organizations. The team regularly performs in major European tournaments, including the PUBG EMEA Masters and PUBG EMEA Championship Qualifiers, as well as international leagues in Europe.

In Phygital Shooter (CS2), Kazakhstan will be represented by two teams – NOVAQ and Team KZ. NOVAQ was founded by the legendary world Counter-Strike player Dauren «AdreN» Kystaubayev, a two-time Major winner. The team also includes well-known players Mikhail «Dosia» Stolyarov, Rustem «mou» Telepov, and Sanzhar «neaLaN» Iskhakov, who have experience playing in major international tournaments. Team KZ brings together young Kazakhstani players who have already made a name for themselves on the professional scene.

In the MOBA PC discipline (Dota 2), the country will be represented by Rune Eaters, which has gathered players with experience participating in The International, Riyadh Masters, as well as playing for such well-known organizations as Na’Vi, Team Spirit, PSG.Quest, and others. This roster is considered one of the most competitive among Kazakhstani teams.

In MOBA Mobile (MLBB), Kazakhstan will also be represented by Rune Eaters. The team is the winner of a number of international and national tournaments, including IESF, the Cup of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Alaman League.

In Phygital Basketball, two Kazakhstani teams will perform – PBC Astana and GTB KZ. PBC Astana is the most titled basketball club in the country and a bronze medalist of the 2025 Games of the Future, while GTB KZ has united experienced players of Kazakhstani basketball and the 3x3 format.

In Phygital Football, Kazakhstan will be represented by ACF x Allur and UEL Team. Both teams successfully passed the national selection and earned the right to perform at the home tournament, where they will meet the strongest phygital clubs in the world.

In Phygital Fighting, the honor of the country will be defended by the Future Nomads team, which includes world and Asian MMA champions, champions of Kazakhstan, and current leaders of professional promotions.

In the Phygital Dancing discipline, Kazakhstan will be represented by the winner of the national selection, Gulnaz Amangali.

The tournament will be held at four modern sports venues in the capital: the Qazaqstan Track and Field Sports Complex, the Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov Martial Arts Palace, the Beeline Arena National Tennis Center, and the Barys Arena Ice Palace.

The program includes eight disciplines combining digital and physical stages of competition, making the Future Games one of the most innovative international sports projects of our time.

The Future Games will be an opportunity for Kazakhstani athletes and esports players to test their strength against the strongest clubs in the world, and for fans to see live a new generation of sports where technology and physical preparation become part of a single competition.
